I created this sterling silver and labradorite necklace as an expression of my feelings about who I am, as I thought through how I came to be where I am today. Each of the long links is individually slumped and textured by heating slowly and carefully with a blowtorch almost to the metal’s melting point, before carefully shaping, soldering, oxidising, repolishing and finishing. The labradorite retains its unpolished sides and reverse as a reminder of its natural origin. The necklace is secured at the back by a matching clasp threading through one of the handmade chain links, so the you can adjust the length to be right for you.
